A Chamar o Futuro Project

What better moment to embrace the collaborative challenge of societal transformation than in 2020? Societal transformation is a challenge we need to address in all contexts! The Bip Zip social grant 2020 / 2021 edition, made it possible for Chamar o Futuro to bring to life the project “Chamar o Futuro em Campolide”. This project hosted many open community moments in socially challenged neighborhoods, as well as a collaborative leadership laboratory and access to other transformative journeys.

Translated this means: “Calling for the Future of Campolide” which is a very forward thinking Perish in Lisbon, with pressing challenges due to extreme polarities: it has the highest turnover commercial shopping centre in Lisbon, while housing some of Lisbon’s poorest citizens.

CHAMAR O FUTURO CRL proposed to support the very needed mindset shift towards community resilience around the Monsanto mountain and forest, building on great practices such as the regenerative Agroforest pilot project Belaflor Respira. The communities they worked with were in the neighborhoods of Bela Flor, Liberdade and Quinta do Tarujo.

The five activities that manifested:

The continuity of the Project: the activities developed during the BipZip project roll out were many and positive and the impact continues.

This project will build bridges with other ongoing projects (local and international) to create the fertile ground for synergy.

The aim of this project is to make the endogenous abundance more tangible and accessible to all, contribute to collaboration among all those who wish to add value to these neighborhoods and start lasting and beneficial empowerment processes.

The cooperative is a non-profit legal entity and the business model associated with the project described above is a local social grant funding. If you would like to join the cooperative’s activities, please contact us.
